How to Recover deleted Photos from iPhone
by DRSOFT » Wed Aug 28, 2013 6:19 pm
In fact, there are two ways for you to recover your deleted photos from iPhone. First, you can use a third-party tool to directly scan and recover pictures from your iPhone. Second, if you've synced your iPhone with iTunes, you also can regain your deleted pictures by extracting your iTunes backup file.
2 solutions to recover photos from iPhone
First, get a professional photo recovery for iPhone: Wondershare Dr.Fone for iSO (Win) or Wondershare Dr.Fone for iSO (Mac).
Download the free trial version below to check your deleted photos before you recover them.
For Windows: Free Dowload iPhone Photo Recovery
For Mac: Free Dowload iPhone Photo Recovery
There are two ways for you to recover deleted pictures from your iPhone: Directly scan and recover photos from your iPhone, or scan and extract your iTunes backup file to get photos back. Next, let's check detailed steps below.
This is a guide based on the Windows version of Dr.Fone. If you are a Mac user, you can also read the guide of Wondershare Dr.Fone (Mac) here: Wondershare Dr.Fone (Mac) User Guide.
Solution 1: Directly recover deleted photos from iPhone 4/3GS
Step 1: Select the device to scan
Take iPhone 4 for example. Download Wondershare Dr.Fone (for iPhone 4) and install it on your computer, and then connect your iPhone with your computer, then you'll get the main interface as follow.
Step 2:Enter your iPhone's system and scan it
Before you perform recovery, you ought to enter the system of your iPhone. Follow the steps here:
1.Hold your iPhone and click "Start".
2.Press "Home" and "Power" button at the same time when you click "Start",and hold for 10 seconds. The program will count it for you.
3.After 10 seconds passing, release "Power" and keep pressing "Home" for another 10 seconds.
When you're told that you've successfully entered the system, the program will automatically scan your iPhone for data as follow.
Step 3:Preview and recover deleted iPhone photos
After the scan, you can preview all found data in categories. To preview your photos, you can choose Camera Roll or Photo Stream. Photos found here are not only those deleted, but also includes those still on your iPhone. If you only want to get those deleted pictures, you can refine the result by sliding the button in the red area on the interface below, to only display deleted items. Mark those you want and click "Recover" to save them on your computer.
Note: If you want to import recovered photos back to your iPhone, you can use Wondershare MobileGo for iOS or Wondershare MobileGo for iOS (Mac), which allows you to do it in a few seconds.
Solution 2: Recover photos from iPhone 5/4S/4/3GS from iTunes backup
Step 1:Choose iTunes backup and scan it
When launching the program on your computer, choose "Recover from iTunes Backup File" option on the top, then you'll get the interface below. Choose the iTunes backup of your iPhone, if there are more than one, choose the latest one, and click "Start Scan".
Step 2:Recover deleted iPhone pictures
After the scan, all files in the backup file are displayed for you in well-organized categories. No matter the photo from your camera roll or those you transferred from somewhere else, you can preview them one by one. Then check those you want and click the "Recover" button to save them on your computer.
Note: If you want to import recovered photos back to your iPhone, you can use Wondershare MobileGo for iOS or Wondershare MobileGo for iOS (Mac), which allows you to do it in a few seconds.
